During / after a seizure -- seek urgent medical help if---

• Patient is injured.
• Has repeated seizures.
• Patient is unconscious for a long time.
• Has difficulty in breathing.
• This is the first seizure.

Follow up after a major seizure ---

• If a person has never had a seizure before,he ,along with the close relative & an eye witness of the attack must visit their Doctor as soon as possible.
• If a person already diagnosed as having epilepsy has a sudden change in the type or frequency of his seizure, he should seek further medical advice within the next few days.
