Yes. Alcohol can affect the blood levels of anti epilepsy drugs. Alcohol also affects the liver. Most of the epilepsy drugs are metabolised in the liver & hence affected.

What would be safe drinking in a patient of epilepsy?

Although alcohol abstinence is preferred, 2-3 units can be considered safe.
